Jerame Clough
Jerame is a graduate of Central Washington University with Majors in Pacific Asian Studies and Chinese Language and minors in Political Science and Philosophy. He has studied Languages in Beijing, China and Seoul, S. Korea. He is currently living in Kobe, Japan, and is a teacher of English at a private school. He grew up in Eastern Washington state, and joined the Marine Corps after high school as a Light Armored Infantryman, stationed in 29 Palms California. Being from Eastern Washington, Jerame was surrounded by conservative Republicans, but was raised to think independently about the candidates and their issues.
He voted for Bob Dole in the 1996 Presidential election, but during the 2nd term of then President Bill Clinton, Jerame was disgusted with the defeat by any means mentality, and hypocrisy of the Republican machine in its quest to bring down President Clinton. This was a turning point in Jerame’s political beliefs and he has since become a vocal left leaning Independent, voting for John Edwards in the primary, and John Kerry in the general election of 2004. In 2007 Scot and Jerame began discussions on starting a political podcast that focused more on the common persons’ view of politics, rather than on the issues of the political elites.

Sarah Woolley was born and raised in the Northwest. She graduated from Central Washington University with a BA in philosophy. She first became interested in politics during high school, when the first Gulf War erupted. Since then her political involvement has evolved from vocal activism to a quieter, lead-by-example grassroots effort. Sarah first met Jerame through mutual friends in the philosophy department at Central Washington University. They have been arguing politics ever since (in a more or less heated fashion). Her politics do not fit neatly into any party’s platform, but tend to coincide with many people who identify with the simple living and permaculture movements. She also has her own blog.

Scot Anthony Newell
Scot Anthony Newell is a life long resident of Richland, Washington. Growing up in a predominately Republican environment, but also one of the most highly educated cities in the U.S., his political views naturally settled in the middle of the political spectrum. In addition to his interest in politics, Scot is also an accomplished drummer, and has worked at home and abroad doing session, fill-in, and various other jobs. Scot first met Jerame when they worked together for 6 months just before Jerame moved to S. Korea to study abroad. Fast-forward a couple years and they began talking about the possibility of a podcast, Scot and Jerame decided that it was their generations responsibility to be proactive in taking the reigns of leadership from their parents generation. They hope to inspire their generation and those before and after, to take control of their government by becoming educated about current events and political issues that face our nation and becoming involved.
